I was diagnosed with diabetes in 1993 and only since 2007 did I become involved in creating a patient support community in Co. Clare and participating in the Diabetes Online Community #DOC #IreDOC since 2010. I have learned so much about living with my diabetes by listening to the experiences of others but also in my volunteering as an advocate with Diabetes Ireland.
